TOURISM FOR EVERYONE
It is essential that tourism is also addressed to people with disabilities, as it is a right for them and a key factor in recovery, as a strategic source of income and a successful investment.
This is why the ONCE Foundation together with the Spanish Standardisation Agency and the UNWTO have launched the International Standard ISO 21902 on Accessible Tourism.
From the CIDH we are committed to a more inclusive and accessible tourism for all. Our President, Vicente Romero, participated in the presentation sessions at FITUR 2023.

LOYALTY BY 2021
Loyalty is one of the main success factors in the hotel industry.
Providing guests with a satisfying experience and exceptional service is the first step towards loyalty. Hotels should provide a quality and personalised service experience to customers while offering them a variety of benefits and promotions. This will enhance brand image and increase guest engagement with the hotel.
In addition, hotels should establish a loyalty strategy to reward customers who remain loyal. This may include offering a discount for a future stay, a loyalty points programme, a loyalty card or even a membership programme.

REVIVAL OF TOURISM IN THE MEXICAN CARIBBEAN
The reactivation of tourism in the Mexican Caribbean requires the implementation of national and international promotion strategies, as well as the application of safety protocols for travellers. This is achieved through advertising campaigns that showcase the region’s tourist attractions, disease prevention campaigns and the application of safety regulations for visitors.
In addition, sustainable tourism initiatives that promote the conservation of the region’s natural resources should be encouraged. This is achieved through the promotion of local businesses, the protection of biodiversity and the responsible use of natural resources.

Hotel professionals are facing a changing environment in which customer needs are increasingly diverse and growing. Hotel leaders need to adapt to this new reality by adopting new management approaches that promote the empowerment of professionals and enable them to develop their skills and knowledge to generate value for customers. At the same time, it is important that leaders understand the situation of professionals at risk of exclusion and provide them with the necessary resources to perform their roles effectively and efficiently. This includes creating training and development plans, as well as promoting cohesion and collaboration among members of the organisation.
