The International Hotel Directors Circle (CIDH) is proud to announce the appointment of Marta García-Valdecasas Barbudo as Autonomous President of the CIDH in Andalusia (Spain), becoming the first autonomous president of the autonomous community.
Marta García-Valdecasas has more than 20 years of experience in the tourism sector both nationally and internationally in IT and luxury hotels. She has worked in the hotel management of important chains such as Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts in the Caribbean, where she started as Ambassador of the CIDH in Punta Cana, in Paradores de Turismo, Eurostars or Magic Costa Blanca, among others, where she has even worked as Deputy General Manager of Operations of the chain.
Her career began with Tourism Business Management, graduating in various Masters and Postgraduate courses such as Hotel Management at Les Roches Marbella, Protocol applied to the Royal House, Event Organisation or Human Resources. Throughout her professional career she has worked in all departments of the hotel, working in countries such as Ireland, United Kingdom, Mexico or Dominican Republic until becoming General Manager. With her extensive experience and solid professional track record. We are sure that her leadership and enthusiasm will contribute to strengthen the CIDH in Andalusia, as well as in the whole national territory.
During her tenure, Marta García-Valdecasas will guide and direct the activities of the CIDH in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. She will be responsible for promoting collaboration between professionals, developing initiatives and representing the association at national and international events.
